For several years now, the 4th grade class of the Lochenschule in Weilstetten with their class teacher Joachim Finke has supported us again and again with really successful campaigns. Although all and everyone is currently thematizing the really bad situation in Ukraine, so this time again the humanitarian critical situation in Africa was thematized in his class.
On the occasion of the homeland festival in Weilstetten, his students of this year’s 4th grade made really worth seeing wooden prints with the most diverse and colorful Africa motifs. The pictures were printed in the school’s own print shop and decorated with quotes from Ernest Hemmingway. The students offered their small works of art for sale at the arts and crafts market, which was held as part of the local festival. Beforehand, I had the opportunity to present our current projects to his class and teachers again.
With a lot of pride and joy we were presented the result. The students, the parents and also the teachers, especially Joachim Finke, decided to donate the entire proceeds of several hundred Euros to our organization Pamoja Rhotia Tanzania e.V..
For this selfless commitment to do something good and meaningful in our world, we are wholeheartedly grateful.
The students proudly show off their little works of art.
